Notice on the execution of payment transactions with Russia and Belarus
UniCredit Bank Slovenija d.d., a part of the UniCredit group, is committed to respect and enforce the financial sanctions adopted at the level of the European Union and individual member states, as well as the financial sanctions adopted by the United Nations, the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
As a result of the events in Ukraine, the European Union and other countries have adopted a great number of measures limiting business with Russia and Belarus. These measures are being regularly and frequently changed and supplemented.
Despite the complex and unpredictable system of the financial sanctions regimes, UniCredit Banka Slovenija d.d. ensures the highest level of business compliance, with checking every single transaction (inflow and outflow) that could be subject to financial sanctions. As a result, it may happen that the processing of transactions takes longer, and it is more likely that transactions are rejected when we do not have enough information available to rule out the possibility of a violation of financial sanctions. For the aforementioned reasons, the Bank may also request additional documentation and explanations regarding individual transactions from the client.
